Vacation

As the end of Carlos' vacation draws near, I think about the week we spent together. I am lucky to have such a great husband, he is so much fun to be around and we always have such good times together. It was also wonderful to have some help with Simon, he is lucky to have such a wonderful dad.

What did we do for a week, you ask?

We spent an afternoon at High Park with the camera. We took about a hundred pictures of ducks, although I think this one is one of my favourites.





We saw a face carved into a tree.



Simon had a nap with Donovan.




We went to Niagara-on-the-Lake and had a big pitcher of beer at lunch (yay holidays!) and bought some fudge.
We saw Niagara Falls,



although Simon was more interested in his feet.




We went to the beach. On the way, Sandi ate the rest of the fudge while we were in Toys R Us. We didn't go in the water but Chloe had a great time swimming for her tennis ball.



We also spent some quality time at home, playing,




discovering our feet,




and measuring big bellies.




All in all, it was a great week together!
Note: we also went to the zoo but unfortunately the batteries in the camera died as soon as we passed through the gates and we were too cheap to buy new ones at the gift shop. We saw baby gorillas and baby giraffes, elephants and polar bears. Simon liked the peacocks and seagulls that harrassed us while we were eating the most. He didn't care much for the wild animals.
