Crappy birthday

It's been a busy couple of weeks for all of us. Between getting back to work and adjusting to daycare and a new routine, we've been busy and exhausted.
Simonazo celebrated his first birthday on Tuesday. Unfortunately, he did not have a very good one.
On Monday he was bitten by another kid at daycare, leaving his face bruised and swollen. On Tuesday we went to the doctors because he's been sick for a while. Turns out he has a little pneumonia, so we spent his first birthday getting chest x-rays. Poor kid. He's feeling better now but needless to say it's not been the greatest week. Luckily the party was last weekend so he was healthier and better looking than right now.
On a happier note, he got a cool bike trailer for his birthday, which his dad kindly assembled today. To go with the trailer, he got a bike helmet which he loves, and refused to take off.

Let's hope next week is better.
