Sunshine
Today we made the most of the sunshine and went for a walk at the park. Simonazo discovered leaves and pinecones, neither of which taste very good. The dogs ran around like they hadn't been out in weeks (they were at High Park yesterday) and I laughed at them all.

Now look at his face after he sampled the leaves....

On the tooth front, BIG NEWS. The tooth has broken through the gum and is visible. And sharp! We have no idea how long it will take before the entire tooth comes out but we figure it is imminent. In the meantime, if anyone comes in contact with Simonazo, watch your fingers :)

7 months
I had a nice post written on Friday, the day Simonazo turned 7 months old. It was all about how great he is, how in love with him we are, how amazing our lives are with him. Then I took some pictures of him, and when I look at them my heart goes to mush. Any words I try to use to describe him sound shallow and silly, so I erased the post and present to you....

A discovery
Yesterday when I was feeding the boy his lunch, I noticed there was a grating feeling against the spoon. Upon further inspection I discovered..... a little white nub in his gum. A tooth!? I tried taking a picture but he wasn't feeling very co-operative and they all came out blurry or as close ups of his chin. I'm pretty sure that's what it is and that would explain some of the crabiness this week.
On the health front, we woke up to a new baby this morning. Smiling and happy, the Simonazo we know and love and missed this week. He is still coughing and sneezing but is definitely feeling better. As I speak he is dancing his 2 step in his Jolly Jumper. Yay!

Lazy Weekend

We stayed inside all weekend because Simonazo was still sick. He was also really crabby, which is really unlike him. The worst part is that there is nothing we can do for him other than keep him warm and wait this cold out. This morning he is still coughing and sneezing but is in a better mood (thank goodness).

He is pretty much able to sit by himself now for short periods of time. We still keep pillows around since he has a tendency to tip over when he is tired. He loves sitting up now, especially reaching for things and being able to pick them up.
