2 months
Dear Bubba,
You are 2 months old now, and weigh in at 9 lbs even.
You are a strong willed little guy. When you are not happy, you can scream for a LONG time. Car trips are the worst, since you hate the car seat and require the car to be moving at all times. Unfortunately, living in the city, this is not always feasible and you never cease to express your anger at red lights. Your brother has taken to plugging his ears when we are in traffic, to help mute the sound.

You are a funny little man. You love to be warm, which will be interesting come winter. You love to be swaddled in your blue blanket, but are equally happy next to me under the duvet. You hate the stroller, which works out, since your brother still uses it. For now you are still being carried in the wrap, which you love, but you are getting heavier, and I warn you, this won't last forever.

You are not the greatest sleeper, and are still waking up every 3-4 hours at night, and I am getting kind of tired. You're lucky, I'm much more patient with you than I was with your brother. BUT...... I have my limits, so beware that once you are a bit older, I am willing to let you cry it out. I anticipate you will put up a good fight but so will I. I am tired, and determined.
You are changing quickly. Your eyes are still big and blue, with a little sparkle. Your belly is getting chubby, your legs and arms will soon follow. You still moan and groan a lot, but I am used to it. You have discovered your tongue, which you stick out at me a lot, and your arms, which wave around uncontrollably.

The first 2 months have been a period of adjustment for all of us. We have learned to reorganize ourselves and our time. I have learned to adjust my sleep schedule (note: please try to sleep better) to yours. But I think we have turned the corner. From here, things get more fun. You have a lot of changes coming up in the next few months and I can't wait to be a part of them.
